Stan McClain has been a resident of Marion County for thirty-three years. While working as a residential contractor at his construction firm, he has served on the Marion County Commission for two terms.
Stan is an active member of the Marion County Building Industry Association and is involved in the daily operation of F&J Developers, a family owned and operated business that focuses on providing homebuyers with affordable financing options. He was named Marion County Builder of the Year in 2011.
Stan is a member of the Florida Cattleman’s Association and the National Cattleman’s Beef Association. He is also a founding member of the Republican Business Council.
In 2011, Stan was appointed by the President of the Florida Association of Counties to serve as co-chairman on the select committee for growth management. He was appointed as chair of the Withlacoochee Regional Water Supply Authority during that time. Stan’s leadership in the community led him to be twice-elected to serve on the Board of Directors of the Florida Association of Counties. He served as a delegate, in 2008, to the Florida Water Congress, created by the Century Commission.
Stan has been married to his wife, Ricki, for nearly 27 years. They have 11 children and four grandchildren and reside in south Marion County. They are active members of Olivet Baptist Church in Ocala. Stan loves to spend time outdoors with his children and enjoys watching bull riding and Florida State football.
